Mother’s Day Card

Mother's Day 2015This week’s challenge over at SUO is a Mother’s Day theme so today I’m sharing the card I made for my mother.  I chose to use the beautiful Rose Red and Blackberry Bliss color combination which happen to be a couple of my mother’s favorite colors.  I used the stained glass technique to make the lovely flowers for this card.  Using one of the flowers from the Secret Garden stamp set, I heat embossed the image in white onto vellum paper, then sponged the color on the back of each image.  Each flower was cut out using the coordinating framelit and adhered to Whisper White cardstock cut to the same shape.  The sentiment is from the Delightful Dozen stamp set.  The background is dry embossed using the Beautifully Baroque embossing folder and I added a Tea Lace Paper Doily for the finishing touch.

Thanks for stopping by!
