Garden in Bloom

FF70-SSC107Happy Wednesday!

It’s been a while since I posted a card.  My husband and I traveled to the west coast for vacation – 3 weeks and 4100 miles in the car!  We first stopped in Salt Lake City so I could attend the Stampin’ Up! convention and then we traveled on to beautiful southern Oregon.  We had a wonderful time relaxing, hiking, and eating lots of yummy food. But, it’s always good to return home and I’m happy to be back in my craft room.

FsbFri70SSC107FFor this card, I used inspiration from two challenges –  the Fab Friday 70 sketch challenge and the beautiful color challenge over at Sunday Stamps. I thought of the English Garden DSP when I saw this color challenge.  The two prints I selected had 4 of the colors in the challenge, and I added some Cherry Cobbler for the fifth color.  Using the flower from the Garden in Bloom set, I stamped the outline in Cherry Cobbler, and filled in with Blushing Bride and Melon Mambo.  To give the card some dimension, I fussy cut the flower. The stem and leaves are stamped in Old Olive.  The sentiment is from the Express Yourself set and is stamped in Cherry Cobbler.

Thanks for stopping by!
