One More Halloween Card

Halloween PP268

Today, I’m sharing one more Halloween card.

pp268I started with the sketch challenge at The Paper Players and used the color challenge at FabFriday of Basic Black, Tangelo Twist, and Bermuda Bay.

I cut strips of Happy Haunting DSP and mounted them on a piece of Basic Black cardstock for the background layer.  Using Basic Black and Tangelo Twist markers, I inked the sentiment from the Sweet Hauntings stamp set, punched it out and mounted on a circle of Bermuda Bay.  The spider web doily adds so much to the theme of the card, but the entire doily was too large, so I just trimmed it down to the size I needed.  I added a banner cut from Black Glimmer paper and, of course, a small black spider.

Thanks for stopping by and have a Happy Halloween!

Oct Blog Hop - Thanksgiving

For my card, I used coordinating products from the Into the Woods product suite in the 2015 Holiday catalog.  I love the rich, earthy colors and hand-painted imagery in the Designer Series Paper (DSP)!   Isn’t the sentiment from the Thankful Forest Friends stamp set so cute?  Since it is the focal point of the card, I used markers to color the stamp in Old Olive, Early Espresso, Rich Razzleberry, and Tangelo Twist.  And did you notice the little flower under the sentiment?  It is one of the hand-painted images cut out from the DSP.   I used the Woodlands Textured Embossing Folder on the Tangelo Twist background layer and added a small banner cut from the Into the Woods 3/8″ Cotton Ribbon.

Thanks for stopping by!  Now, it’s time to see what Stephanie has in store for you.

Death by Chocolate Treat Bag

Halloween Treat Bag

“Death by Chocolate” could be my fate!  What a perfect tag for a Halloween treat bag filled with chocolate candy.  This little goodie bag was made using the Mini Treat Bag Thinlits and Happy Haunting DSP, and embellished with a circle cut from Black Glimmer Paper, a Tangerine Tango banner cut with a thinlit included in the treat bag set, and the tag punched with the Note Tag Punch.  Now the question is whether the candy will last until Halloween… lol!

Halloween Class Card

Happy Monday!

Today I’m sharing the Halloween card we made in class last week.  This card uses several of the fabulous – or should I say “fa-boo-lous” – Halloween products in the current Holiday catalog.  The witch’s hat inked in Rich Razzleberry and paired with the wand looks more like a wizard’s hat for a whimsical Halloween card.  The hat & wand are layered onto a circle punched from the Black Glimmer paper which is centered on top of a spider web doily.

Thanks for stopping by & have a wonderful week!

Halloween Brew

HSSSC221 - Halloween Brew

HSSSC_221Good Morning!

I’ve been having fun playing with the great Halloween products in the current Holiday catalog.   Here is a card “brewing up something sweet.”  I started with the sketch over at Hand Stamped Sentiments and the Sweet Hauntings stamp set.   The potion bottles are stamped in Basic Black ink and then colored in Cucumber Crush using an Aqua Painter.  Aren’t the spider webs fun – both in the background print and the doily?  And I love adding a bit of sparkle with a banner cut from black glimmer paper.  The banners are easily made using the Triple Banner Punch for the black and orange banners, and the Banner Punch for the sentiment.  If you don’t already have these punches, they are definite “must haves”.  You can purchase one by clicking on the links below.

SSC110 – Boo to You!

SSC110 - Boo to You

ssc110FHappy Friday!

With October fast approaching, I thought I better get started on Halloween cards!  The fun sketch over at Sunday Stamps sketch challenge got my creative mojo going.

I started with two prints from the Happy Haunting DSP and the Howl-o-Ween Treat stamp set with coordinating Boo to You framelits.  The owl is stamped in Rich Razzleberry.  The witch’s hat and wand are stamped using the new Basic Black Archival ink.  This new black ink is amazing – such a crisp, clean image!  After the pieces were cut out with the coordinating Boo to You framelits, I colored in the stars and band on the hat, as well as the star on the wand, using a blender pen and Crushed Curry ink.  I then added some Dazzling Details to give it a bit more sparkle.  The Boo! is cut from Black Glimmer paper and adhered using the new Fine Tip Glue pen which allows you to use small dots of adhesive with the intricate die cuts.

Thanks for stopping by and be sure to visit Sunday Stamps to see the other wonderful creations!
