Another Valentine

Today I’m sharing a card my Coffee & Cards group made this week using products from the Painted with Love Suite in the 2018 Occasions Catalog.

The Painted with Love DSP is so pretty with lovely color combination and gold accents.  For this card, I started with a Whisper White base and added a panel of Rich Razzleberry.   Next, I added a banner cut from one of the DSP prints.  The heart image and sentiment are both from the Sure Do Love You stamp set and are cut out using the coordinating framelits.  The heart is stamped in Calypso Coral and the sentiment is embossed in gold.

The Sure Do Love You stamp set and Lots to Love Box Framelits Dies are offered as a bundle which will save you 10%.  Purchase a package of Painted with Love Specialty DSP with the bundle and you earn a free item from the Sale-A-Bration catalog!  These items can all be purchased from my Online Store.

You’re My Valentine

I hope your new year has started out well!  I’ve enjoyed some extra time to play with a few of the beautiful new products from Stampin’ Up!’s 2018 Occasions and Sale-A-Bration catalogs.

I often struggle with where to start on a new card and find that online challenge blogs are a great source of inspiration.  Today I’m sharing a card inspired by Hand Stamped Sentiments challenge #280.

You're My Valentine - HSS #280

This card features a few products from the Painted with Love product suite in the Occasions catalog.  The Painted with Love Specialty Designer Series Paper is absolutely gorgeous!  Each sheet has gold foil accents on one side and brushstroke imagery on the other.  This card makes use of both.   The gold foil doily pairs so nicely with the DSP.  Notice the tinsel trim behind the heart?  What a fun way to add some bling.  The sentiment is one from the Sure Do Love You stamp set.  It coordinates with the heart image in the same set.

SSC117

SSC117fWith just a month until Valentine’s Day, the Sunday Stamps color challenge helped me get started on Valentine’s cards.  The colors I used for this card are Crumb Cake, Melon Mambo, Blushing Bride, and Whisper White.

The cute little heart on this card is from the You’re So Sweet stamp set and is cut out with the coordinating die from the Mini Treat Bag Thinlits Dies.  It is layered onto a small tag cut out using the Tags and Labels Framelits Dies.  The soft texture on the Blushing Bride layer is achieved using the Softly Falling Textured Impressions Embossing Folder – such a versatile embossing folder!  A piece of a Tea Lace Paper Doily and a small flower with a pearl center complete this card.

Oodles of Love

Snuggles and Smooches is the photopolymer stamp set Stampin’ Up! introduced last month and it is the cutest set, just in time to make Valentine’s cards.  Here is the card my Coffee and Cards group made using this week.  My inspiration for the card came from the Freshly Made Sketches #170 sketch challenge.

I had a couple of different ideas for the sentiment and couldn’t decide which one I liked best, so I let the group decide which one they wanted to make. I’m sharing both versions of the card here.  Which do you like best?
