Stampin Up!’s annual Sale-A-Bration begins January 4, 2017, and today’s card features the Tasty Trucks stamp set which is one of the FREE products you can earn with a $50 purchase! This card also features the new Watercolor Pencils available January 4th in the 2017 Occasions Catalog. They come in a set of thirteen Stampin’ Up! colors and can be used alone to fill in stamped images or can be used with an Aqua Painter or Blender Pen to achieve a watercolored look.
This stamp set is so adorable, but I have to confess that my interest in the set also has to do with the fact that my son had a food truck for a couple of years from which he served up some awesome tacos!
I used Freshly Made Sketches #268 as the starting point for this card. I also used elements from the Gorgeous Grunge and Swirly Birds stamp sets to add the diagonal lines and splotches.
Have a great week!
Happy Friday! It is a happy day for me as I was able to get back to stamping. We recently moved, barely got settled into our temporary home before having foot surgery. Now that life has finally settled into a routine, my craft room was calling me. But, where to begin? When I need inspiration for a card, which is generally the case, my favorite sources of inspiration include the Stampin’ Up! catalog, Pinterest, and fun challenge blogs.
For this card, I started with the sketch from the Freshly Made Sketches challenge blog and the color challenge over at Hand Stamped Sentiments.
I just love how beautiful this color combination is. Be sure to visit both of these great challenge blogs and get inspired to create your own gorgeous card. Happy Stamping!
