Stampin’ Up! Well Written Easter Card

Today, I’m sharing another Easter card.  This one features the Well Written dies.

The color palette was inspired by the Sunday Stamps Spring Fever color challenge.

When I think of Easter, the pretty pastel colors come to my mind.  So, using these brighter colors for an Easter card was a fun change for me.  I started with a piece of the burlap print from the Pressed Petals DSP for the background.  It’s adhered to a Very Vanilla card base.  Next, I embossed a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock using the Brick & Mortar 3D Embossing Folder and adhered it to a Soft Suede layer.  The Well Written dies were used to cut the stems from Granny Apple Green cardstock and the small flowers and butterfly from Calypso Coral cardstock.   I stamped the sentiment from the Easter Promise stamp set in Calypso Coral ink on a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock and cut it out using the largest oval from the Stitched Shapes Dies. I felt that the card still needed some extra little details and decided lace and pearls work well with burlap.  I took a piece of the Very Vanilla Scalloped Lace Trim and adhered it to the back of the sentiment in a zigzag fashion.  This is popped up using Stampin’ Dimensionals.  Finally, pearls were added to the center of the flowers and butterfly.

Thanks for stopping by!
