Stamp It Blog Hop – Fall Leaves

Oct Blog Hop HeaderWelcome to this month’s Stamp It Group blog hop!  You may have arrived here from Siara Acdal’s blog.  But, if you this is your first stop on the hop, be sure to use the Previous and Next buttons at the bottom of this post to see everyone’s wonderful creations.

The theme is Halloween and Fall. Since I love the rich colors of fall, I chose to create a card using the Vintage Leaves stamp set and coordinating Leaflets Framelits.

Oct Blog Hop

To create this card, I started with a Soft Suede card base.  To create the variegated maple leaf, I first inked the stamp in Tangerine Tango. Next, using a sponge dauber, I added some Crushed Curry to the center of the leaf.  Finally, Rich Razzleberry was added to the edges of the leaf by using the Rock & Roll technique –  lightly rolling the edge of the stamp in the ink pad.  Since gold accents are so lovely with the traditional fall colors, I added a small leaf in Rich Razzleberry embossed in gold, and a bow made with Gold Cording Trim.  And isn’t the little wood acorn so cute?  It’s one of three shapes in the Into the Woods Elements set.  The sentiment, stamped in Soft Suede, is from the Tin of Cards stamp set.  Although I chose Happy Birthday, other sentiments would work as well.

Thanks for stopping by!  A complete list of products used to create this card can be found at the bottom of this post.

Now it’s time to head over to Oksana Semenska’s blog to see what amazing creation she has for us:
